Patient is presenting at the clinic with concerns of consistent fatigue over the past few months. The Iron Studies test indicates that patient’s serum ferritin levels are below normal, and the CBC with differentials test indicate that hemoglobin levels are below normal, while MCV levels are above normal. Test results indicate that patient’s folate, hemoglobin, and hematocrit levels are below normal, which is consistent with megaloblastic anemia. Test results and symptomatic presentation rule out Acute Posthemorrhagic Anemia, Aplastic Anemia, and Atypical Myocardial Infarction. No traumatic injury, respiratory, or GI concerns reported. Recent X-Ray indicates pneumonia diagnosed three months prior has resolved completely. Test results indicate that symptom is caused by B12 deficiency.
